Question 1

What does a private Kotor Bay boat tour include?

Accepted Answer

Every charter includes Momentum, our private Saxdor 270 GTO, a professional captain, fuel, life jackets, a Bluetooth sound system, a fridge for drinks and an indoor rest area. The boat is yours alone — no shared groups — and the route is built around the time you have and the stops you want to see.

Question 2

How long is a Kotor Bay boat tour?

Accepted Answer

We offer one-hour tasters, four-hour half-day charters, eight-hour full-day charters and our ten-hour signature excursion. Most guests find a half day is the perfect length to see Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks, the Blue Cave and the submarine tunnels without rushing.

Question 3

What is the typical route for a Bay of Kotor boat tour?

Accepted Answer

A classic half-day run leaves Kotor Old Town, passes Dobrota and the bayside villages, stops in Perast, visits Our Lady of the Rocks, swims in the Blue Cave, then explores the Cold-War submarine tunnels before returning. On full-day and signature trips we add Risan, Orahovac or a long lunch at Marea by Moments in Porto Montenegro.

Question 4

Can we swim in the Blue Cave on a Kotor boat tour?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Blue Cave is a swim stop on every charter that reaches it, weather permitting. Bring a swimsuit and towel; we carry everything else on board. The best light is mid-morning to early afternoon.

Question 5

Is a Kotor Bay boat tour suitable for children?

Accepted Answer

Very. Momentum carries life jackets for children, has shade and an indoor rest area, and the Bay of Kotor is sheltered so the water is usually calm. We also offer family-friendly itineraries that finish with lunch at Marea by Moments.

Question 6

How much does a private boat tour of Kotor Bay cost?

Accepted Answer

Momentum is priced per boat, not per person: €200 for one hour, €800 for a half day and €1,100 for a full day, for up to six guests. The signature excursion, which includes a seven-course tasting menu at Mira by Moments, is priced on request.

Question 7

Can Momentum transfer us to Moments, Mira or Marea by boat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer private boat transfers to all three restaurants. Transfers from your accommodation to Moments, Mira or Marea take around 15 minutes as standard and can be adjusted if you are staying further along the bay.

Question 8

When is the best time of year for a boat tour in Kotor?

Accepted Answer

May to October is the main season. June and September are ideal: warm water, long light and fewer boats than the peak weeks of July and August. Mid-morning departures give the calmest water and the best light inside the Blue Cave.
